Why is the Obama campaign Threatening Legal Action Over NRA Ads?

Saturday, January 5th, 2008

Excerpts:

Fairfax, VA-Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign has sent threatening letters to news agencies in Pennsylvania and Ohio to stop airing ads exposing his anti-gun record sponsored by the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF).

The kicker? NRA-PVF’s Ohio’s ads have not yet begun running.

So what’s the big deal about the NRA advertising Obama’s voting record?

Those ads must contain evidence of the truth to scare Obama this much. A presidential candidate frightened by his own voting record? That speaks volumes to me.

I don’t care what this Obama character says about having (suddenly) a pro-gun stance, I know better than to trust him on this particular issue. I consider my Second Amendment rights even more important than my First Amendment rights.
